Pink is the official color for all things related to breast cancer awareness and you guessed it, October is breast cancer awareness month.
Breast cancer affects one in eight women and is the second leading cause of death for women. Whether you have known someone affected by the disease or not, it is always important to be aware of the disease and ways in which you can prevent it or help someone diagnosed.

Please remember that while self examinations do help to detect the disease, it is a very good idea to ask your doctor about mammograms, especially if the disease has affected someone in your family.
