CrOp by David Peck’s Spring/Summer 2013 // silk, hemp, and organic cotton
Ecouterre is my absolute favorite blog of all time. Strong statement, I know! It is the most comprehensive, newsworthy, up-to-date ethical fashion website out there. When I first started my green living blog, Boston Green Blog, I began checking Ecouterre on a daily basis for inspiration and to use as a model for my writing. Jill Fehrenbacher started the blog in 2010 to "dispel any disparaging stereotypes" of eco-fashion (its not just hippies wearing Birkenstocks!) In fact, Ecouterre has a lot of high-fashion content. Some of their most interesting articles, though, are those about innovations in the textiles industry. You may think that sounds a bit dry, but seriously, scientists are figuring out how to do things like turn fish scales into a viable alternative to leather! Woah!
