3 Halloween Costumes You Already Own

Looking to dress to kill-it with the boys? Sandy is always a trusty costume for those not looking to break the bank. Bust out your pleather leggings, some heels, a cute black top and red lipstick and you're done! Acceptable costume attempt for the lazy gal, and totally hot.

Need to dress up but show zero skin and play it super safe? Rosie the Riveter is a great option and basically just requires you to make a Canadian tuxedo look a little bit more girly. This outfit is a favorite of mine for any corporate party where the last you want to do is look inappropriate or like you don't know how to have fun.

And lastly there's Katie, the hot girl from Wet Hot American Summer. This costume shows off your humor and taste in movies, all while contributing minimal effort and zero dollars. If you don't want to be Katie but have some other camp-y uniform ideas, really anyone from this movie's cast will be a hit at the party.

The long weekend is just one day away! Hopefully the weather is nice, because I know all of us gals are hoping to log some hours at the beach/lake this weekend! Stocking Up for Southie

Its here! The annual St. Patrick's Day celebration is on Sunday, so its time to start getting prepared for the mayhem.

• The forecast says it will be in the mid-30's and cloudy on Sunday, so I highly recommend layering up with a green cardigan (or two, or three), green mittens, and most importantly, bean boots, since you'll likely be standing outside for much of the day. 

• The great thing about being outside though, is that you finally get to wear your sunglasses. I'm super tempted to get a new pair from the Jonathan Adler for TOMS collection! 

• Even if its cold, the sun can damage your skin, so layer on some eco-friendly Coola sunblock, and top off your St. Paddy's day beauty look with green nail polish (JUGs pick: Butter London British Racing Green)

• Unfortunately, this year's parade has been tainted with scandal, as the parade committee does not want the LGBT community to march in the event. Show your support for our LGBT friends and family by rocking a rainbow pin or carrying a flag!

• Also, make sure to bring cash. Southie is crowdeddddd on St. Paddy's, so bring cash to ensure fast transactions. You're also sure to see a few fundraisers going on, especially for the upcoming Boston Marathon, and cash is the quickest way to contribute.

• Finally, bring your host a delicious and theme-appropriate gift, like Jameson!

The Boys Are (Almost) Back

Yes, we agree... it has been an extremely long winter.  Anyone who knows me well is aware that I LOVE baseball season.  Every new season sparks this refreshed attitude full of excitement, hope and competition.  Plus, a night at Fenway just makes it all that more special.  Our home opener this year is Friday, April 4th, less than one month away!  I am already counting down the days for the boys to be back in town!

Every now and then, someone "new" in Hollywood surfaces, and you develop a crush.  Mine has become an obsession.  After the first episode I ever saw of Workaholics, I new I was in love.  Let me count the ways...
