Ummmm Father's Day is on Sunday....yeah...THIS Sunday. Luckily for us, Boston has some awesome last-min gifts to offer, like Bully Boy White Whiskey (its clear...sorry...wrong photo above) which is available in most liquor stores, but is special because it is distilled right in Boston and is USDA certified organic. If your dad is more of a beer drinker, treat him to a locally brewed six pack of Plum Island Belgian White. It is the perfect summer beer...you should probably ask dad to share with you upon opening!
If your father is a foodie, a gift certificate to Karl's Sausage Kitchen in Peabody would be perfect! Their gourmet European market has everything you need for a summer BBQ. Plus, Karl's can deliver your gift certificate within 24 hours --- whew! Another idea, of course, is to cook for dad yourself. Try out this Whiskey Caramel Bacon Bark recipe. I know this one is 100% dad-approved because my dad is the one who sent me this recipe!
Finally, there is the old standby: Red Sox tickets. Our boys may not be doing so well this season, but there is really nothing like going to Fenway with your dad.
Happy Father's Day gals!

Nail Polish for Memorial Day Weekend
The long weekend is just one day away! Hopefully the weather is nice, because I know all of us gals are hoping to log some hours at the beach/lake this weekend! If you're like me, your toes probably haven't seen the sun in a while, so prepare for a BBQ-filled weekend with a good mani-pedi in our JUGS approved color choices. Whether you're gettin' classy in Newport or keeping it low key on a camping trip, a festive mani will keep you feeling fresh. Enjoy the weekend ladies!

Stocking Up for Southie
Its here! The annual St. Patrick's Day celebration is on Sunday, so its time to start getting prepared for the mayhem.
- The forecast says it will be in the mid-30's and cloudy on Sunday, so I highly recommend layering up with a green cardigan (or two, or three), green mittens, and most importantly, bean boots, since you'll likely be standing outside for much of the day.
- The great thing about being outside though, is that you finally get to wear your sunglasses. I'm super tempted to get a new pair from the Jonathan Adler for TOMS collection!
- Even if its cold, the sun can damage your skin, so layer on some eco-friendly Coola sunblock, and top off your St. Paddy's day beauty look with green nail polish (JUGs pick: Butter London British Racing Green)
- Unfortunately, this year's parade has been tainted with scandal, as the parade committee does not want the LGBT community to march in the event. Show your support for our LGBT friends and family by rocking a rainbow pin or carrying a flag!
- Also, make sure to bring cash. Southie is crowdeddddd on St. Paddy's, so bring cash to ensure fast transactions. You're also sure to see a few fundraisers going on, especially for the upcoming Boston Marathon, and cash is the quickest way to contribute.
- Finally, bring your host a delicious and theme-appropriate gift, like Jameson!
Be safe and enjoy the day!

Hey Girl, Happy Valentine's Day
![]() |

Everyone seems to be voicing either their love or love-for-hating today's holiday. The JUGs are approaching it differently, with humor! Whether you're spending tonight with a significant other, friends or are treating yo' self with a night of relaxation after the snow storm, we hope you enjoy! And, as the ultimate pice of "mancandy," Ryan wants to let you know a few things...

The Week of January 20th
H O L I D A Z E
Hopefully many of you have today off and are catching up on sleep, skiing, or using today to re-organize. The MFA is free today, so its the perfect time to get out and experience some culture. Plus, its the LAST day of the John Singer Sargent Water Color Exhibit (which is AMAZING)! If you've already seen the water colors and are looking for something new to check out, the Green Patriot Poster Exhibit just went up at the Design Museum Boston.

The JUGs love to keep busy by attending local events around the city. Luckily, there are tons of cool things going on. We are excited to attend the kickoff event for the BOSLady Project on Thursday - tickets are still available (wine included in ticket price)! Then, this weekend, we are gonna get our shop on with Emily of Shell Chic'd at Free People in Harvard Square. Also, mark your calendars now for the We Are Music fest on Feb. 1. I am already jamming out to Bearstronaut and Escort to get pumped up!
