For those of you who have read blogs since the late 2000s, you know the veterans out there.  Monika Hibbs of Vancouver is one of those trailblazers many bloggers have followed since discovery.  She has a curated sense of style you just drool over, and it's easy to enjoy watching her picturesque adventures, most recently a trip to Vegas with her husband.  Her tasteful home decor DIYs and recommendations are my personal favorite piece of her strong brand.  I could definitely stare at her home tour all the livelong day!

It is not surprising she has been all over the press from Boston-local Style Me Pretty to HGTV to Glitter Guide, just to name a few.  Don't forget about Monika's shop, too, which we hope is replenishing soon before we start rolling out our gift guides in the coming weeks, it's definitely one of my go-to resources.  If Monika is what Vancouver is about, we better get there sooner than later!

Daily Read: The Kind Life

Did you just say you've never heard of The Kind Life?! AS IF!

The Kind Life has been actress Alicia Silverstone's healthy living dairy for the past few years and even resulted two books - The Kind Diet and The Kind Mama. Alicia combines conscious, healthy living with environmental sustainability and animal rights to create a blog about how to do everything without hurting anyone or anything else. Though the overall blog is not political, she still manages to tackle the tough issues like fracking, climate change, and animal slaughter for leather production (seriously, did you know that many soccer cleats around the world are made of kangaroo leather? yikes). Alicia also rounds up some great vegan recipes like vegan shepard's pie and sweet potato black bean enchiladas. I definitely want to get a copy of The Kind Diet ....adding it to the Christmas wishlist ASAP - it is a perfect follow up to the J+A Whole Food Detox I completed in September.

Daily Read: Happily Grey

Nashville gal Mary Seng of Happily Grey is one who exhibits a natural ease.  Her style is simple and she is seriously a pro with showing an idyllic juxtaposition of high and low items into one photo shoot-worthy look, ironically, full of color!  Mary has grown her brand to new levels in such a short amount of time!  She can rock a cape, a tomboy baseball hat and the highest of heels like no other.  Happily Gray is sure to be the next blog you bookmark as your daily read!

Daily Read: FashionABLE

 I actually first discovered FashionABLE via Instagram. They have gorgeous photos of their products (scarves, blankets, and totes) and I was instantly into their look. After learning about the purpose behind FashionABLE it was hard to to fall in love with everything they do. All of their products are made from female artisans in Africa that are paid fairly for their work. By purchasing their products you are simultaneously empowering women and helping stabilize the global economy. Last year, I purchased their Tigist Clutch and couldn't be more happy with it.

Lately, I've also gotten really into their blog. Their blog has great content, including behind the scenes stories, look books, interviews with bloggers, and even features on celebs that love the brand (like Minka Kelly and Jimmy Fallon). They also post every day which is pretty incredible for a small e-commerce company (trust me, I know).

Daily Read: The Workher

You know we love posting about female entrepreneurs following their passions in our "Who's That Gal" Series.  Well, today's daily read is essentially a sister from another mister (and continent).  I came across The Workher via pinterest, and Sydney gal Laura Douglas appropriately dubs her blog "A survival guide for the young working woman."  Her "Inspiring Women" posts are similar to WTG with a sweet Aussie vibe.  

Cameron, Suzanne and I are lucky enough to enjoy where we work, but one can never stop growing, and The Workher is a great resource for this encouragement.  I also like how she directs content to Gen Y readers, peer advice is something we can learn a lot from!  We think that this young blog is just starting to blossom.  You heard it here first!

Mini Daily Read: Free People Pinterest Boards

In case you've been stuck in the office all day, NEWSFLASH: fall is here. While it is hard to see summer go, its fun to look to pinterest as the seasons change and get inspired for the months to come. One of the most uplifting accounts the JUGs follow is Free People. We love their women in nature theme that borders bohemian, outdoorsy, and feminine. Their "crisp air" board is a great reminder that just because the temps are lower than 60, doesn't mean we need to shutter ourselves inside. All of their boards are perfectly curated with photos from other retailers and bloggers - we love that their boards aren't too sales-y. Free People are definitely some of Pinterest's best tastemakers!

Daily Read: Zipped

I recently discovered Chelsea Lane of Zipped via Instagram and have been checking her blog every day since. Chelsea, a young professional by day and blogger by night, seems to have the most stylish life in the mid-west I've seen yet. But what really brings me back to her blog everyday is that  she's a real girl who wears affordable and comfortable brands...and kills it everyday. And her hair is amazing.

I have been waiting in anticipation for a while to post about one of my favorite daily reads, House of Turquoise, by turquoise-lover Erin Moser out of Minnesota.  As a fellow admirer of home decor and also one somewhat turquoise-obsessed, I am constantly bookmarking Erin's posts that feature various homes and design projects across the globe.  She offers some serious inspiration and the oceanic theme is one that always draws me in.  Too much of a good thing is a great thing in this case!

It sure doesn't hurt that a good amount of posts are in New England and/or have that New England influence.  Call me sheltered (no pun intended), but I will swoon over shingled siding any day!  To boot, Erin's Pinterest page welcomes countless visual candy, with a full dose of turquoise, just the way I prefer it to be!
