Finally, real-time updates for the Green Line will be available before the end of the year!

One of our favorite gals, {av}, shows you the yummiest (and photogenic!) ways to use the ever-popular ingredient, avocado

It looks like Wahlburgers will have its second location opened within the next nine months or so.  Now, to wonder when Fenway will happen!

Thought you'd never see a GoT star in our great city?  Think again.

I have been waiting in anticipation for a while to post about one of my favorite daily reads, House of Turquoise, by turquoise-lover Erin Moser out of Minnesota.  As a fellow admirer of home decor and also one somewhat turquoise-obsessed, I am constantly bookmarking Erin's posts that feature various homes and design projects across the globe.  She offers some serious inspiration and the oceanic theme is one that always draws me in.  Too much of a good thing is a great thing in this case!

It sure doesn't hurt that a good amount of posts are in New England and/or have that New England influence.  Call me sheltered (no pun intended), but I will swoon over shingled siding any day!  To boot, Erin's Pinterest page welcomes countless visual candy, with a full dose of turquoise, just the way I prefer it to be!

Mini Daily Read: Nina Garcia's Pinterest Boards

In the spirit of summer and being outside instead of on our computers, we are continuing on with our "Mini" Daily Read series and this week's feature is on the ever-so-stylish Nina Garcia and her pinterest boards.

Many of us know Garcia for her role as the tough judge on Project Runway, but previous to the show her resume built up to be quite the laundry list of accomplishments. It is from her experience at top fashion magazines like Elle and Marie Claire that Garcia has gained the utmost respect from every gal out there, from the "it" girls to the fashionably clueless, and it's because of this we can turn to her for inspiration.

While I could spend hours devoting to combing her pinterest boards, I am deeming this a "Mini Daily Read" because many times throughout the week I visit Garcia's many style boards for quick, easy and complete work and weekend attire ideas. Running late for a meeting but not sure what to pair with your outfit? Check out one of her many accessory boards. Not sure how to wear a latest trend? Check out her outfit boards conveniently categorized by trend.

All you have to do is follow Nina Garcia on Pinterest and you're ready for a stylish day. You're welcome.

Pssst, fun fact: Garcia attended the Dana Hall School in Wellesley!

Walls of Wanderlust

I am always on the hunt for personalized gifts.  Now that wedding season is upon us, I wanted to share one from my list of bookmarked sources.  Today, we spotlight the Etsy storefront, An Inspired Image, out of New Orleans, LA.  The prints offer hundreds of destinations around the globe, both familiar and fantasia. They would be great to highlight one's home town, favorite past travel spot, or a mix of both!  Perfect for a gallery wall, in a collage or standing alone.  Which would you pick?

Boston Gals Love San Francisco

I've always heard that Bostonians love San Francisco (and vis versa) - so I had to go there myself to check it out. Here are my favorite shots of our Pacific side sister city!

Daily Read, vol. 1: "Dear Friend," blog

As newcomers to the blogging world, we are constantly noticing how broad the blogging world truly is, within Boston and beyond!  In speaking with a few friends who have been incredibly supportive on what us JUGs have presented thus far who may not have been too familiar with the blogging world prior to our launch, we want to introduce you to some of our favorites!  We will be highlighting some of our permanently-bookmarked blogs and the person behind them to you so you, too, can add them to your "daily reads."

First up...

via Anna's artsy Instagram!
Anna, or as her readers know her best, "AEB," is a native of Syracuse, NY, and has lived in the Boston area since graduating from college.  {dear friend} blog is a taste of Anna's artful point of view of things she loves: her family, friends, hobbies, travel and more.  She even has her own Etsy shop so you can take a piece of New England's varied landscapes home with you!  My favorite part of {dear friend} blog is the natural balance between the digital and that with a personal touch.  This spans from her handwritten photo captions and notes to her sweet and sincere reflections on past travels.
