Baseball Babes

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9

The Red Sox roster is lookin' pretty steamy this season. First there's Miller, who has a mess of facial hair but, Boston girls are into it, duh. Next up is boy-next-door Daniel Nava...I mean, those photos speak for themselves. Then, haha, Sizemore.....turns out this guy is really into taking nude selfies, so don't google-image-stalk him at work.

oh wait......there's more:

The new guy, Ryan Roberts is perf for ladies that love tattoos. His nickname on the Diamondbacks was Tatman. And finally, Bogaerts is on our watchlist for "cuties of the future" because he is only 21!

So, see ya at Fenway? Thought so.

Week of February 10

1

Well the groundhog gave us bad news last week, so we're still trudging through the snow this week. Blerg!

O L Y M P I C S
What sport are you most excited to watch? I am particularly pumped for the skiing and snowboarding events. But, I might watch some women's hockey since the Boston area has such strong representation on the team! And even though we are thrilled about all the awesome female athletes making a name for themselves at the Olympics, I am also excited to keep my eye out for cute boys. (hint, Kris Freeman, Cross Country Skiing. And, I have to admit, Shaun White doesn't look half bad with his hair short)!

V A L E N T I N E
Ugh. Ya. Valentines Day is on Friday. Woof.
I'm planning to get drunk with my very favorite valentine (myself). But for those of you with a significant other, my suggestions for romantic restaurants would include Tangerino, Neptune Oyster, and Lumiere

Gals, I am getting SO into the green smoothie craze. It is an awesome way to get a boost of nutrition first thing in the morning. I'm using instacart to order fresh kale, cooked beets, bananas, almond milk, and mangoes so I can blend up some amazing breakfast smoothies at home. But, if you're not into blending you're own veggies at home, you can stop by this amazing-looking new juice bar, Cocobeet, in City Hall Plaza. I'm also excited to check out the new juice bar in Southie, Nourish Your Soul, which opened in January.

But whats all this juicing worth without exercise?! Luckily, Boston Sports Club is hosting a series of *free* Winter Warrior Workout classes every Thursday night!

If you've tried Grouper, Tinder, and Hinge, and are ready for the next cool dating app., then you might want to check out the Jess, Meet Ken Launch Party tomorrow night! I'm excited to hear what the deal is with this new (Boston-based!) dating service.

Across the river at Tufts University, the Tisch Family Gallery is featuring an exclusive new art exhibit: Seeing Glacial Time. Maybe checking out the gallery is the perfect Valentines weekend activity?

O-M-G, have you gals been watching HBO's new series,True Detective? Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson are simply phenominal in this dark mystery. Speaking of dark mysteries, if you like SVU and True Detective, you'd love Top of the Lake. I watched it recently upon Netflix's suggestion, and it is so good. Plus, it feels so cultured to watch a show made in another part of the world (New Zealand), even if the character is a familiar face from Mad Men.

Have a great week!

Crushing on Julian Edelman

Gronk is injured. Brady isn't getting any younger. We are ready for some new Pats obsessions, and we've found one in Julian Edelman! He is our reason for watching the playoffs. Enjoy this Tuesday pick-me-up.

Women's Football Clinic with Rob Gronkowski

Boston gals love a sports hero. Seriously, did you know that almost 600 people voted for David Ortiz to be Mayor?! These players represent our pride and loyalty - a huge part of our culture. And now that longtime Patriots hero Tom Brady is married to a supermodel and in a bunch of shudder-worthy Ugg commercials, Boston gals are craving someone a bit more.....attainable. Rob Gronkowski fits the bill. The 24-year old tight end has a reputation for being a party-loving goofball, and it doesn't hurt that he is good looking.

This week was my birthday, so my sister got me tickets to the Rob Gronkowski Football 101 Women's Clinic, which if I had to describe in one word, would be AMAZE! Attendees sipped on Gronktinis (my prediction that these drinks were going to be original-recipe fourloko was incorrect, they were actually a vodka pomegranate concoction), and then split up into teams of 10 to learn the basics of football.

Our team of Gronk-loving gals dominated all of the drills and scored like a million high-fives from Rob and his older brother Gordie. After the drills and competitions were complete, Gronk gave us a little lecture about plays and signaling with his team. I was actually surprised how eloquent he was (maybe eloquent is a strong word....but whatever....Yo soy fiesta!)

Anyway keep an eye on the JUGs feeds to see some photos of yours truly with Gronk! And see ya'll at the bars to watch the rest of the Pats season.

The event included a silent auction - yes, those are signed semi-nude photos of the football star.

Physical interaction!

Gronk gave us a lecture on what he knows best.

Then, the real coaching began when he taught us how to Dougie!

The Guys You Will Meet on Tinder

Sure, the dating app Tinder is a lot of fun. In fact, that is mostly all it is (haven't heard of anyone meeting their husband or wife on Tinder just yet, have you?!) More than anything, Tinder shows that guys simply don't know what gals want. A guy that posts a semi-nude photo of himself? Nope. Someone that lies about their age? Def not. A guy missing is high school hay days? No thanks. And does standing next to a hot celeb make you hot? Sorry....no.
